Four Corners is a cooperative learning strategy that enables students to build espressive and receptive language, skills. This strategy can be modified to any grade level and it can take several minutes or the entire time. Four Corners can be used as a review, preview or warm-up sort of an sponge activity to activate student prior knowledge. Students are presented with a previous topic discussed in class In each of the four corners of the classroom there will be an opinion about the topic posted. Students express their opinion about the theme by standing in front of the statement they share their same opinion continuing elaboration of information they know about that particular topic.
